Job description

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission is seeking a Legal Education Officer to join its Education & Licensing Division. This role focuses on creating and delivering real estate educational materials and ensuring that all content remains current, accurate, and legally sound.

The Legal Education Officer develops course curricula, prepares instructors through training seminars, formats and distributes course materials, and maintains updated content for required real estate courses. They also help revise and publish the North Carolina Real Estate Manual, write and edit articles on legal and regulatory real estate topics, and conduct legal research as assigned. The position requires strong analytical, writing, organizational, and planning skills, along with sound judgment. Work is supervised by the Director and Assistant Director of Education and Licensing and evaluated through reports, meetings, and public feedback.

Desirable Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and/or experience in the field of education, experience in the practice of real estate law, possession of a NC real estate broker license preferred; however, it is mandatory within 6 months of hire. Must demonstrate excellent technical and professional writing skills. Instructional skills are preferred.

Special Requirements

Graduation from an accredited law school.
Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver's License without restrictions.
