Job Summary: The Town of Holly Springs is seeking an Outdoor Nature Education Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will be responsible for leading educational programs and activities for individuals and groups of all ages in a natural setting.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational experiences, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the safety of all participants. Location: Town of Holly Springs, North Carolina Position Type: Part-time Salary: Starting at $15 per hour Hours: Vary, flexible schedule Job Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and lead nature education programs and activities for individuals and groups of all ages. Develop and implement educational lesson plans, activities, and materials that align with program objectives.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants in hands-on learning experiences. Ensure the safety of all participants during programs and activities. Maintain program supplies and equipment, and ensure they are in good working order.

Maintain accurate program records and reports as required. Communicate with program participants, parents, and other stakeholders as needed. Assist with program promotion and outreach efforts.

Attend required training sessions and meetings. Job Requirements: Previous experience in outdoor education, environmental education, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of local flora and fauna, natural ecosystems, and environmental conservation principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with participants of all ages. Ability to plan, organize, and lead educational programs and activities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift 50lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid NC driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification.

Requires drug test and background check prior to employment.
