Job description

Position Overview:
Delivering daily customer orders via a fleet of vehicles consisting of either a 24'- 13 ton Straight Truck, 1 ton Stake Truck, or a ½ ton Pickup truck. Drivers assist in loading and are expected to unload all shipments. Delivery sites consist of, but are not limited to, manufacturing plants, commercial contractor job sites, and residential addresses. Delivery routes can be up to 25 stops and are typically made within a 100-mile radius of the warehouse.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Understands the need for continued work-related education
• Knows that work is subject to change; reacts positively and quickly to change
• Places a higher priority on the organization's goals than their own personal goals, and contributes to help the team accomplish its goals
• Demonstrates honesty and keeps commitments, while adhering to the team's expectations and guidelines
• Participates in meetings, on time and alert
• Accepts responsibility for outcomes
• Maintains a strong work ethic; overcomes obstacles to achieve goals
• Identifies safety issues and problems; reports or corrects unsafe working conditions and safety problems; checks equipment and work area regularly
• Delivery drivers are to deliver material in a timely and friendly manner
• Delivery drivers are to always maintain a clean truck
• Delivery drivers are to communicate any problems with the functions of the trucks to the warehouse manager
