In this role, you’ll make a lasting impact - helping create safer roads by confidently guiding students of all ages through positive, professional instruction.
 

  • Hourly Pay: $22.00/hour

  • Flexible Scheduling - Part-Time (20-28 hours/week): We’re looking for team members who are available to work flexible shifts of at least 4.5 hours across both day and evening hours. Weekend availability is required, either one full 8-hour shift or two shorter 4.5-hour shifts split across both weekend days. Weekly schedules may vary depending on student demand.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver behind-the-wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels, following AAA’s curriculum and training standards

  • Use our driving school software to track and manage student progress

  • Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance

  • Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices and maintain all required state documentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry

  • Confidence working with the public, especially teens

  • A strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits

  • Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day

  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25lbs

  • Must be capable of safely assuming control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Minimum of 5 years of driving experience

  • Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV-required physical exam

  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
