Vending Route Driver Trainee - PDFS

POSITION SUMMARY
Learn and complete various vending routes providing a high standard of service to Pee Dee Food Service customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fills and maintains vending machines within a scheduled delivery route.
  • Maintains all Pee Dee Food Service standards
  • Effectively and safely utilizes a handheld computer and hand truck.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work reliably and independently with minimal daily supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Clean and insurable driving record.
  • Must meet DOT standards including a DOT physical.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Previous route experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills.

ABILITIES
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be physically and mentally able to successfully perform the essential elements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The ability to hear, talk, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
