Position: Driver Recruiter (CDL)

Location: Plainfield IL, Onsite

Compensation: $50k-$60k Base Salary range, with a Competitive Commission structure to add a possible $12k with potential for the amount to increase based on performance

About the Role:

The Driver Recruiter at MNS1 Express, plays a critical role in our growth and success by sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified CDL drivers to meet the operational needs of the company. This position is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from identifying potential candidates to onboarding new hires, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled drivers. The Driver Recruiter collaborates closely with the operations team to understand staffing requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies. Success in this role directly impacts the company’s ability to maintain efficient logistics and timely deliveries, which are essential for customer satisfaction and business growth. Ultimately, the Driver Recruiter contributes to building a strong, reliable workforce that supports the company’s long-term transportation growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience recruiting CDL commercial truck drivers (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of driver qualification requirements and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified drivers across the Midwest regions in the United States.
  • Process candidates through Tenstreet (ATS), (screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications and driving records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards)
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process, including background checks, drug screenings, and documentation verification.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide regular reports on hiring metrics and candidate pipeline status to management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, labor market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting driver recruitment and retention.
