Job Description Linehaul Operations Manager (FedEx Ground) - Kansas City, MO Bright Flag Recruiting is hiring a Linehaul Operations Manager on behalf of a successful FedEx Ground Independent Contractor based in Kansas City, MO. We're looking for an experienced transportation leader with a CDL-A who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building high-performing teams, maintaining safe operations, and delivering exceptional service. Compensation & Benefits $75,000-$95,000 per year Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) Hybrid work environment offering flexibility Schedule Business operates 7 days per week Provide operational support as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent operational matters Terminal Location: 12501 NE 40th St.

Kansas City, MO 64161 What You'll Do Lead daily linehaul operations with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of CDL drivers Maintain strong communication with drivers and FedEx Ground hub management Conduct ride-alongs, safety audits, and performance coaching Cover routes and provide in-truck driver training when needed Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and company policies Coordinate fleet maintenance, repairs, and equipment readiness Monitor ELDs, fleet cameras, licensing, insurance, and regulatory compliance Manage VEDR events and DOT reporting requirements Qualifications 5+ years of transportation, logistics, CDL driving, and/or fleet management experience Valid CDL-A required Ability to cover routes as operational needs require FedEx Ground BC or Operations Manager experience is strongly preferred Doubles endorsement (or ability to obtain before starting) Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and electronic logging devices (ELDs) Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check Proven commitment to safety with an excellent driving and safety record If you're a hands-on leader who enjoys developing drivers, improving operations, and making an impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.
