The Operations Support Technician is a multi-faceted role designed to support all operational functions within our Calgary Branch. This position is ideal for a proactive, highly organized individual who enjoys a mix of warehouse tasks, field support, and hands-on technical work.
As a key support for the branch, you will assist field technicians, warehouse operations, collections, and the branch management team, while actively apprenticing to become a skilled Commercial Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Field Operations

  • Equipment Modifications: Execute all vend price increases and machine conversions across regional accounts.
  • Technician Apprenticeship: Apprentice directly under senior commercial technicians, performing minor equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and onsite gas connections/disconnections.
  • Field Support: Deliver parts directly to field technicians to minimize downtime, assist with on-site repairs, and manage/provide necessary building keys.

2. Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Logistics: Handle daily shipping and receiving duties.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shop environment.
  • Inventory Control: Manage parts inventory tracking, auditing, and restocking.
  • Shop Support: Assist the Shop Technician with equipment prep and staging.

3. Collections & Property Support

  • Collections Assistance: Support the branch collector with daily routes and step in as the primary collector during vacation cycles.
  • Room Audits: Inspect laundry rooms to ensure they are properly outfitted and have up-to-date, accurate company signage.

4. General Branch Support

  • Collaborate with and assist the Branch Manager on daily operational needs.
  • Provide logistical and property-level support to the sales team and property management clients as directed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Experience in warehouse operations, property support, mechanical assistance, or a route-based role is highly preferred.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn commercial laundry equipment repair and gas disconnection/connection procedures.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude with the ability to pivot between warehouse, office, and field environments quickly.
  • Organization: Exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding inventory and route coverage.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (essential for field support and collections).
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment as required in a warehouse/field setting.
