Job description

Job Title: Career Navigator
Reports to: Lead Career Navigator Position
Classification: Non-Exempt
Wage Range: $19 - $21/hour, $39,520 - $43,680 annually
Primary Objectives of Position: Provides individualized career planning, case management, and employment services to job seekers.
There will be several Career Navigators within the project. Some of these roles are onsite and some are remote positions, with a preference to employees residing within the Borderplex region.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Conducts customer assessments and develops employment plans
  • Connects customers to employment, training, and support services
  • Maintains accurate case notes and documentation
  • Coordinates with employers and partners
  • Supports customer retention and follow-up

Other Job Duties: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be

other management as required. The company reserves the right to revise or change job duties as
business requirements dictate.
Required Competencies: Extreme Customer Service focus, ability to utilize coaching techniques to
drive exceptional performance and quality results, learning orientation, communication proficiency,
teamwork orientation, technical capacity.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Credentials: Certified Workforce Development Professional credential preferred
Experience: Two years staffing or workforce experience
Skills/Abilities: Case management, customer engagement, documentation
Technology Requirement: Position requires strong technology proficiency, including use of workforce information systems, Microsoft 365 applications, electronic case management, virtual service delivery tools, and evolving AI-enabled platforms in a paperless environment. Experience working within the Work In Texas system preferred. Successful completion of a basic IT skills assessment is required.
Additional Requirements: Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
