Summary/Objective
Provide the customer with timely, courteous food delivery.  You must always conduct yourself professionally as a driver, and at the delivery site.  All deliveries must arrive on time and with all products.  Drivers must drive and park safely and legally according to the training and check-off list.  In this position safety is our utmost concern. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a part-time seasonal position which is anticipated to last through the end of the 2026 calendar year in order to support increased workload due to holidays.  As a part-time seasonal position there is no specific guarantee of hours due to fluctuations in client order volume, however it is anticipated this position will be needed 1-2 days per week in September 2026 with days per week increasing in October-December. Ideal candidates will be available to work Tuesday through Saturday, primarily in afternoons and evenings.  Candidates who are available 7 days per week between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm are highly desirable. Additional work hours and flexible schedule may be required. Additional training and/or education hours may be required.

  • Keep workstations tidy and sanitary. Must be compliant in all areas of safety, sanitation, and training certification requirements. 
  • Comply with requests from direct supervisor 
  • Follow all company policies (Breaks, Paper Products, Meals, Dress Code, Phone Policy) 
  • Attend and participate in Elephants Delicatessen continuing education and certification classes

Requirements

 Required Education and Experience 

  1. 5 years of previous driving experience  
  2. Current Food Handler certification 
  3. Customer service experience 
  4. Current, valid Driver's License 
  5. Valid Car Insurance 
  6. Clean driving record for past 3 years 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. 
  2. At least 1 year of customer service/delivery/ food service experience.  

Work Environment 

  • Includes working in refrigerated areas and on surfaces that can be wet and slippery 
  • Typically, maintains a moderate noise level 
  • Working with exposure to dust, mold, gluten, fragrances and other fumes and airborne particles,?fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants, and flowers 
  • Working in proximity to and using common commercial cleaning agents? 
  • Frequent handwashing is required 

Physical Demands 

  • Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen and hear.? Consistent fine finger manipulations and repetitive motions with hands and feet  
  • Occasionally required to stoop and climb ladders or stepstools 
  • As needed, position may require sitting, crawling and climbing stairs 
  • Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance 
  • Work performed requires medium to high physical strength 
  • Consistently required to use near and peripheral vision, in addition to depth perception
