Job Description: 

The Road Supervisor will report to the General Manager and is responsible for actively facilitating communications between the field operations team to ensure the service is running efficiently. 


Interested candidates must be able to work 2nd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Supervises day-to-day activities of operators to ensure compliance with operational requirements for safe bus operations including compliance with corporate safety training processes and practices 
  • Provides support, advice and guidance to operators in responding to a variety of issues (e.g. customer complaints, bus and/or worker safety, time-off requests), assessing situations and determining appropriate course of action (e.g. additional training, counseling) to prevent further occurrences in the future 
  • Ensures a positive work environment for operators by providing coaching, mentoring and non-safety related training to promote high employee motivation and morale and commitment to company values and excellence in customer service 
  • Monitors on-time performance  
  • Prepares and submits required reports in a timely manner 
  • Supervises compliance with Company policies and/or processes by action and speech; discusses any breech of policy and procedure noted with Operations Manager  
  • Collects and audits employee DVIs 
  • Evaluates the performance of all direct-report personnel on a regular basis according to company policy  
  • Administers appropriate employee discipline as necessary 


Skills Required and Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail.  
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced excel skills.  
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Excellent customer service skills  
  • Able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications: 

Hard requirements: 

  • Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement
  • Must have open availability - flexible schedule

Preferred requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Operations Management with 3 years in transit industry preferred; college education can be substituted for up to 2 years required work experience 
  • Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)  
  • Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures
