Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor, track, and assign drivers to dedicated routes while ensuring compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations.
  • Maintain utilization of tractors and trailers to meet or exceed budget and operational expectations.
  • Provide drivers with dispatch instructions, delivery information, and operational support to ensure successful and on-time service through the TMS and other transportation operating systems.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers and assist with resolving operational issues.
  • Interface with Account Manager regarding service failures, delivery concerns, OS&D, and other transportation-related issues.
  • Maintain daily operational revenue goals and report performance metrics on a weekly basis.
  • Monitor on-time performance, service levels, driver productivity, equipment utilization, and other key performance indicators.
  • Process and verify driver payroll accurately on a weekly basis.
  • Perform annual performance reviews for direct reports and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development.
  • Create and maintain a spot freight network to generate backhaul opportunities and improve fleet utilization.
