Job description

We are looking for an influential leader to motivate and guide a team of drivers. You will be managing a critical piece of business. You will focus on exceeding the goals of on-time service, MPG results, and retention. You will create a team atmosphere where members feel valued. You will break through any barriers to build a solid partnership with the customer.
This role is located onsite in our De Pere, WI office.
As a Driver Manager, you will:
  • Responsible for direct supervision of drivers, routes and service to ensure highest quality of customer service and safety.
  • Build strong relationships with your driver team through integrity and accountability
  • Safely dispatch drivers and freight in accordance with company policy and federal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular coaching on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to include safety, performance and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist the planners in reworking freight and manage the change communication.
  • Respond to internal and external customer needs by answering emails, phone calls, tracking freight, and load recovery to service our customer.
  • Coach your driver team to success and safety compliance.
  • Think critically in an ever changing industry.
  • Be responsible for driver team retention.
  • Partner with drivers, planners and customer service to meet customer and service expectations.
  • Approve driver pay and driver bill of lading (BOL) submission.
  • Be decisive and provide solutions to driver needs and issues.
