Job Summary:
The Driver/Appliance Installer is responsible for the safe delivery, installation, and basic servicing of household appliances at customer locations. This role combines driving responsibilities with hands-on technical work and customer interaction. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a company delivery vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation laws.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens.
  • Install and connect appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform basic testing to ensure proper functionality after installation.
  • Provide customers with instructions on appliance use and care.
  • Remove and properly dispose of or relocate old appliances as needed.
  • Maintain delivery logs, installation records, and required documentation.
  • Inspect equipment and report any vehicle or product issues promptly.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Deliver professional, courteous customer service at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and move heavy appliances (often 50-100+ lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous delivery or installation experience is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy items.
  • Regular bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
  • Driving for extended periods.
