What does a driver helper do?

As a driver helper, your duties are to help a delivery driver to load and unload their truck and accompany them on the route from the warehouse or shipping facility to customers. Your specific responsibilities also include helping to prepare and store equipment, such as hand trucks and dollies for moving large packages. Many driver helpers work for the large parcel delivery services, such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL, and they are often entry-level jobs where you get training before you can work as a delivery person yourself.

What is a driver helper?

Driver Helpers assist delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering packages, especially during busy seasons. They typically ride along with the driver, help carry packages to customers' doors, and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. Driver Helpers do not drive the vehicle themselves but are essential in supporting timely deliveries.
