Truck Driver

Job Description

IVC is looking for a reliable, professional, and versatile Truck Driver to join its team. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing material deliveries and pick-ups, organizing the transportation schedule according to the needs of different departments, and supporting plant operations when required.

The ideal candidate has experience driving a 26-foot cube truck, good knowledge of the Greater Montreal area, and a positive, professional, and customer-service-oriented attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive the truck to pick up and deliver materials.
  • Perform basic inspection and maintenance of the company vehicle and report any required repairs.
  • Operate a forklift to move heavy materials when required.
  • Assist workers in the plant with general labor when there are no deliveries or pick-ups to be completed.
  • Organize the transportation schedule according to requests from other departments.
  • Review, organize, and respond to emails appropriately.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and friendly attitude at all times.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license only with a good driving record.
  • Experience driving a 26-foot cube truck.
  • Knowledge of the Greater Montreal area.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to operate a forklift when required; forklift certification required or considered an asset depending on experience.
  • Must be able to work outside in most weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills, including emails, organization, and communication.

Schedule and Compensation

Full-time salaried position. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including applicable breaks in accordance with employment standards. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
