Job description

Medical Assistant
The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) offers a variety of services, with many of them provided onsite at a PACE Center.
PACE is an alternative to nursing home care and โ€“ through an interdisciplinary care team (IDT) of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, therapists, van drivers, and aides โ€“ coordinates and provides preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care services, so older individuals can continue living in the community.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Welcome and room participants, gathering history and addressing concerns.

  • Obtain vitals, administer medications, injections, and vaccines.

  • Assist with wound care, diagnostic testing (EKG, POC), and nebulizer treatments.

  • Support providers with EMR documentation and prescription processing.

  • Ensure equipment is sterilized, supplies are stocked, and clinic operations run smoothly.

  • Provide care in the clinic and, when needed, in participant homes.

  • Collaborate closely with staff, participants, and families using a patient-family centered care approach.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required

  • 1+ year of experience (2+ preferred).

  • Previous experience with the elderly, frail, or long-term care population.

  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain through SCPP).

  • Reliable transportation and valid Michigan driverโ€™s license/insurance.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be fully vaccinated or willing to become vaccinated against:
