GEICO is seeking a Senior or Principal Claims Product Tester to join our Claims Platform organization. In this role, you will be responsible for validating new system functionality, enhancements, and configuration changes to ensure high-quality releases and a seamless experience for internal and external users.

As a key member of the testing organization, you will execute both manual and automated testing across Agile and Waterfall environments, maintain automated test suites, and partner closely with Product, Technology, and Business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs and acceptance criteria. You will play an important role in identifying defects, missed requirements, and process gaps, helping mitigate risk while supporting GEICO's continued technology transformation.

Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Execute manual and automated testing activities across Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Validate user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria to ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Test claims system enhancements, configuration changes, and new product features prior to production release.
  • Identify, document, track, and communicate defects, missed requirements, and business process gaps.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations to improve quality and reduce risk.
Test Automation
  • Design, execute, and maintain automated test suites supporting regression, pipeline, and end-to-end testing.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of automation frameworks and testing processes.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and optimization of automated testing solutions to maximize testing coverage.
  • Contribute to the organization's broader transition from manual testing to automation-first practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to improve product quality.
  • Coordinate and lead testing efforts across projects while tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve common goals and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Advise stakeholders on testing risks, potential impacts, and quality considerations.
Continuous Improvement
  • Apply systems thinking, analytical skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to evaluate solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and learn new technologies, testing techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in the resolution of testing issues and production concerns with Product, Technology, and Business partners.
  • Promote quality-focused practices and contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with software testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience executing and maintaining automated testing solutions.
  • Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of claims and software testing experience.
  • Experience with test automation, including regression and pipeline testing.
  • Exposure to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience testing claims platforms or insurance-related applications.
  • Familiarity with both business process analysis and technical testing concepts.
  • ASTQB Foundation Testing Certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.

Annual Salary

$61,500.00 - $101,475.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
