Job description

What We’re Looking For

Honda of Watertown is currently looking for a highly outgoing, energetic and dependable individual to greet our valued customers arriving at our service department. The Service Drive Coordinator will welcome customers and ensure a smooth and timely transition to a Service Advisor by confirming appointments and obtaining basic information about the reason for the customer's visit. In addition, he or she will move customer vehicles in and around the lot and service areas, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage free manner.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in a multi-tasking, fast paced customer facing role, with a priority on customer satisfaction. Must have an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter and must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a greeter/ambassador, valet and/or knowledge of automotive servicing and repair is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answering any questions and/or directing them to the appropriate person or location
  • Verifies customer appointments and all relevant customer information (name, VIN, tag number, mileage, etc.)
  • Helps with loaner vehicles and parks vehicles after they have been written up
  • Perform vehicle inspections, photographing and noting vehicle condition, installs disposable protective coverings (seat covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service
  • Delivers keys and repair order paperwork to the appropriate personnel or designated area after parking vehicle
  • Retrieves vehicles for customers when picking up, delivering the vehicle and thanking customers for their business
  • Helps maintain a clean and safe service area by performing general cleaning duties (trash removal, sweeping, etc.)
  • Helps maintain clean vehicles, including client and inventory vehicles
  • Follows all safety and security procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
  • Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Strong customer service skills
