Must Haves for RN’s:
Required minimum years of experience in specialty: 2 years in the LTC/SNF/LTAC/Rehab setting
Required Certs: BLS/CPR, would prefer candidates also be IV certified but NOT required
Is Candidate subject to float – YES, candidates MUST be comfortable floating to all units in the facilities (i.e. Rehab, SNF, LTAC, LTC, Short Term Stay)
Type of EMR used: Unknown (Most likely PCC)
Type of facility: LTC/SNF/LTAC/Rehab/Short Term Stay Units
Patient ratios: 15:1 (can be as high as 18-20:1) for Short Term Stay and Rehab setting, LTC/SNF is 25:1 typically
Scrub color: Any
MISC:
Types of care provided for patients: Wound care, stoma care, Wound Vacs, Peg tubes, J-tubes, G-tubes, Wound care, Ileostomy and Colostomy care, Foley Catheter Care, IV pumps, Tube Feed Pumps basic trach care but no ventilators
Types of drip experience is needed: IV fluids and Antibiotics, should be comfortable starting IVs and drawing labs as well if IV certified
