STNA responsibilities:

  • Take and record vital signs
  • Measure and record height and weight, intake, and output
  • Care for the residents' environment
  • Assist with bathing, grooming and toileting
  • Assist with eating and hydration
  • Observe residents' skin when administering care and reports changes to licensed nurse; provide skin care as needed
  • Meet residents' mental health and social service needs
  • Change linens on residents' bed
  • Assist in passing out fresh ice water to residents

STNA qualifications:

  • Must be state tested, have recent nurse aide training completion certificate, or be willing to train
  • Previous experience working in direct care services preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
