Job description

SUMMARY

Perform multiple processes to produce weather-strip for the Automotive Industry by performing the following duties.

SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs one or more of the following operations continually or on a rotating basis

  • Competent in EPDM W/S Molding
  • Must maintain minimum attainment of 85% average
  • Operate multiple presses simultaneously and sequentially.
  • Insert correct profile into the mold adding inserts and/or clips as required by the specific product work instruction.
  • Inspect quality as identified by the specific product work instruction.
  • Load appropriate number of processed parts on rack system.
  • Complete production paperwork.
  • Operate continuous drilling machines.
  • Load materials as identified in the specific product work instruction.
  • Follow โ€œwork instructionsโ€ and perform the operation as identified.
  • Responsible for conformity to product requirements and has the authority to stop production to correct quality problems.
  • Regular attendance and adherence to the โ€œNISCO Attendance Policyโ€ including the ability and availability to work a minimum of eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours a week, or such other hours per day or hours per week (over-time) as determined necessary or desired to meet business needs. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and NISCO policies and rules.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or G.E.D. or comparable from country of origin.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 10-35 pounds. Specific vision abilities may require color vision depending on job assignment. For quality reasons, this position requires a sighted individual.
