Job description

$60K–$80K+ | Uncapped Commission | Company-Provided Leads

Turn Your Exterior Remodeling Experience Into a High-Earning Sales Career

Are you someone who knows exterior construction, understands how homes work, and enjoys working directly with homeowners?

We are a growing Southeast Michigan exterior remodeling company looking for a motivated Gutter & Exterior Home Improvement Sales Representative to help homeowners identify problems, recommend solutions, close projects, and ensure the work is completed the right way.

This is not a desk job. You will be in the field meeting homeowners, evaluating gutter and drainage problems, measuring projects, presenting solutions, closing sales, and remaining connected to the project through installation and completion.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to combine construction knowledge, sales ability, and hands-on experience into a career with significant income and advancement potential.

What You'll Do:

Meet With Homeowners & Close Sales

  • Run company-provided homeowner appointments throughout Southeast Michigan
  • Inspect existing gutter, downspout, drainage, roofing, and exterior conditions
  • Identify water management problems and potential damage
  • Measure rooflines and determine project requirements
  • Recommend gutter, downspout, gutter guard, and drainage solutions
  • Clearly explain options, pricing, and project expectations
  • Build trust with homeowners and confidently ask for the sale
  • Follow up on open opportunities and maximize close rates

Be the Exterior Expert

Our goal is not simply to replace gutters. We want to solve homeowner problems. You will be expected to recognize opportunities involving:

  • Seamless gutter replacement
  • Downspout modifications
  • Gutter protection systems
  • Drainage improvements
  • Water management concerns
  • Roofing and exterior-related issues
  • Additional exterior home improvement opportunities

Stay Connected to the Installation

Depending on your experience and the needs of the business, you may perform, assist with, supervise, or coordinate installation activities including:

  • Seamless aluminum gutter installation
  • Gutter machine operation and fabrication
  • Downspout installation
  • Hangers, elbows, outlets, and accessories
  • Proper gutter pitch and drainage
  • Jobsite quality control
  • Final customer walkthroughs
  • Hands-on gutter installation experience is highly valued.

What You Can Earn

Typical annual earnings: $60,000 – $80,000+

High performers have the opportunity to earn more. Compensation may include:

  • Competitive base salary or draw depending on experience
  • Uncapped sales commission
  • Installation or production compensation
  • Performance bonuses
  • Referral incentives
  • Additional incentives tied to sales and productivity
  • The more value you create, the greater your earning opportunity.

We Provide the Opportunity

You won't be expected to build your entire pipeline from scratch. We provide:

  • Company-generated leads
  • Scheduled homeowner appointments
  • Marketing support
  • Established products and services
  • Sales and operational support
  • Exterior Remodeling Knowledge
  • Opportunities to generate additional referral business
  • We want someone who can take a qualified opportunity and turn it into a satisfied customer.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a self-motivated producer, not someone who needs to be constantly managed. You should be:

  • Comfortable talking with homeowners
  • Confident asking for the sale
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Comfortable measuring and evaluating homes
  • Willing to work outside and in the field
  • Dependable and accountable
  • Organized with strong follow-up skills
  • Focused on customer satisfaction
  • Motivated by performance and earning potential

Required

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to safely work from ladders and around residential rooflines
  • Ability to lift and handle construction materials
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Reliable work ethic
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable background screening requirements

Strongly Preferred

  • Gutter installation experience
  • Exterior remodeling experience
  • Roofing or siding experience
  • In-home sales experience
  • Home improvement sales experience
  • Construction estimating experience
  • Knowledge of drainage and water management
  • Experience operating gutter machines or fabrication equipment

Why Join Us?

We are building a growing exterior home services operation and want people who want to grow with it. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Earn uncapped commission
  • Work company-provided leads
  • Build a repeat and referral customer base
  • Expand into additional exterior remodeling products
  • Develop into a sales leader, crew leader, or operations role
  • Work with a team focused on growth, accountability, and quality
  • Build a career instead of simply working another construction job

Benefits

Full-time employees may be eligible for:

  • 401(k)
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off

Schedule
