About the Job

A fixtures and specialty woodworking company, is currently seeking a Millwork CAD Draftsman. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all job duties and meet the following requirements.

Job Duties

  • Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software
  • Add details to architectural plans
  • Prepare multiple versions of designs for review
  • Submit material samples to architect
  • Work under the supervision of assigned Project Manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school Diploma and previous experience Required
  • Associates Degree Preferred
  • Must be able to read Blue Prints
  • Must be organized and pay attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Excel and Outlook a plus

Compensation

  • Salary based on Experience

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or 2 years technical training in computer aided design/drafting. Does not require an engineering degree.
  • Experience: 3-5 years related experience in millwork design and manufacturing or a commensurate level of experience with related products.
  • Skills/aptitudes: Mechanical aptitude required.

Essential Skills:

  • Must be able to take work direction
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good math & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings accurately and check their own work.
  • Use good drafting practices to produce high quality drawings
