Job description

Mack Industries is looking for a Design Drafter in Mount Vernon to assist in the technical efforts necessary to support our sales, production, and product development departments. The main focus of this position will be to develop detailed shop drawings of precast concrete products and preparing bid submittal packages for customers.
Paid Weekly
Essential Functions:
  • Prepare project shop drawings to present to the customer for approval
  • Completes submittals for customer approval
  • Engages directly with customers to ensure specifications and lead time are met
  • Works alongside sales and production teams contributing to efforts where needed
  • Maintains project flow, following targets as established by the Engineering Manager
  • Communicates effectively with General Contractors, Field Personnel, Architects, Engineers and other departments to facilitate project outcomes and competition
  • Utilizes Stack IT, AutoCAD, and 3-D software to create detailed shop drawings for fabrication
  • Utilizes ERP Software to import orders, enter order lines.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related experience preferred
  • Knowledge in precast manufacturing and construction processes a plus
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong mathematics and science abilities a plus
