Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cabinet / Millwork Draftsman to join our team. A successful candidate would be responsible for creating accurate cabinet and millwork drawings and support our CNC production workflow. This role is not a generic CAD drafting position. The right person will understand how cabinetry is built, how plans and shop drawings drive production, and how drafting decisions affect CNC output, fabrication, and installation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise cabinet / millwork shop drawings
  • Interpret architectural plans and field dimensions
  • Support Mozaik-based production workflow
  • Coordinate with project managers, shop leads, and installers as needed
  • Help ensure buildable, production-ready information reaches the shop.
  • Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microvellum, and broader CNC / production support experience is a plus


Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in cabinet / millwork drafting preferred
  • Blueprint reading and shop drawing interpretation
  • Cabinet construction knowledge 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate job deadlines
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening

RCS Countertops & Cabinets is owned and operated by two brothers who have worked in the industry their entire lives. RCS fabricates its cabinets and countertops all under one roof in Tempe, AZ. Installations are done by in-house teams as well. At RCS, we focus on projects in the multi-family industry and we also work with general contractors on commercial and residential projects. We have lots of fun as a team, but our top priority is to have delightful relationships with our customers, our employees, and our suppliers.
