Job description

Join Waste Connections as a Heavy Equipment Operator at ourLandfill in Weatherford, TX. In this position you will be operating our Dozers, Excavators, Compactor, along with trucks and smaller equipment at our solid waste landfill.

๐Ÿ›  Job Duties:

  • Spreading and compacting trash.

  • Spreading cover using a Dozer

  • Excavating soil using an excavator

  • Maintaining haul roads using a grader

  • Load waste at Transfer Station into transport trailers using wheel loader and excavator

  • Litter picking and general labor

  • Hauling soil

  • Work in a fast paced, team environment

  • Follow safe operating practices

  • Operate D6T dozer, Wheel Loader, ADT Haul Truck, Motor Grader, Excavator, Sweeper, Water Truck, Skid Steer

  • WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.

  • The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
