A member of the Production Department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Downline Operator is responsible for assisting in the production and packaging of food products. You will work as part of a team to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company quality standards and regulations. A general laborer at a food manufacturing company should be diligent, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of food production processes. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. This position reports to the Production Manager.


Pay Range: $17.00 per hour

Hours: 

  • 5:00am - 5:00pm
  • 5:00pm - 5:00am

Schedule: Monday - Friday 

(Must be willing to work OT and Weekends)

Location: Fresno, CA

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Additional Information: This is an in-house temporary position aligned with a temp-to-hire process. While a permanent role may become available, conversion is not guaranteed and will depend on business needs, performance, and attendance. Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days.

  • Operate machinery and equipment used in food production, such as conveyors and packaging machines.
  • Monitor and control the flow of raw materials through various stages of production.
  • Conduct visual inspections of food products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Report any product defects or irregularities to supervisors.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly to maintain a hygienic manufacturing environment.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables properly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records and inventory logs.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain product integrity and safety.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Attend training sessions to stay updated on safety procedures, food handling regulations, and company policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMPs) is beneficial.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and industry standard cleaning procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a production/manufacturing environment or related field is a plus.
  • Possesses basic math skills.
