Department: Women's Health
Reports To: --- Director of Women’s Health
Employment Status: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Doula Engagement Specialist serves as the primary operational contact for the doula workforce by coordinating workforce readiness, onboarding, credentialing, client matching, scheduling, training, and communication. This position supports the successful delivery of doula services across Women's Health programs while promoting a positive workforce experience.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
Workforce Management
  • Maintain the active doula roster.
  • Coordinate onboarding for newly contracted doulas.
  • Maintain doula personnel files.
  • Track certifications, liability insurance, NYCMed IDs, CWIDs, and other required credentials.
  • Monitor compliance with onboarding requirements.
Client Matching
  • Match clients with doulas based on language, culture, geographic location, client preference, availability, and program requirements.
  • Monitor doula caseloads.
  • Coordinate reassignment of cases when needed.
  • Ensure equitable distribution of referrals.
Workforce Development
  • Coordinate orientations and trainings.
  • Schedule continuing education opportunities.
  • Support mentorship initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment and retention activities.
  • Facilitate communication between doulas and program staff.
Operational Support
  • Coordinate monthly doula meetings.
  • Respond to day-to-day doula questions.
  • Support documentation compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
