Job description

At Rever Grand, our mission is to provide high quality, person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD), assisting them to lead dignified, independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes and the community in which they live.
Rever Grand is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to be a part of our dedicated team that provides services to the I/DD community. As a DSP, you will support individuals with their personal basic needs and daily activities, and you will help them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Requirements
โ€ข Be at least 18 years of age.
โ€ข Consent to and pass a required State Background Check.
โ€ข Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
โ€ข Be free of convictions of founded allegations of abuse
โ€ข Experience or sincere interest in working with adults or children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within a setting promoting community integration, normalization, and treatment of all people with dignity and respect.
โ€ข Ability to actively participate in developing and implementing plans to meet the needs of the individuals served.
โ€ข Ability to communicate with individuals and their families.
โ€ข Experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or caretaker is a plus.
Education and Experience:
โ€ข Minimum of high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
โ€ข Experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or caretaker is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Regularly stoop, bend, lift and carry at least fifty (50) pounds of weight without assistance.
โ€ข Ability to lift and/or transfer physically challenged individuals who require such assistance to remain active and mobile while engaged in household or community activities.
Other Requirements:
โ€ข Reliable mobile device for timekeeping and documentation of daily activities
โ€ข Reliable transportation
โ€ข Valid driver's license and automobile insurance (if transporting individuals)
