Job description

Job Title: Fiscal Analyst
Job Description
This Fiscal Analyst will be responsible for researching invoices, purchase orders, and requisitions to ensure they are within budget and subsequently reporting findings to the operations manager. The role involves compiling financial reports within Excel, performing financial analysis to identify variances, and supporting ad hoc projects as they arise.
Responsibilities
  • Research invoices, purchase orders, and requisitions to ensure they are within budget.
  • Report findings to the operations manager.
  • Compile financial reports using Excel.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify and explain variances.
  • Support ad hoc projects as needed.

Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in variance analysis.
  • Understanding of debits and credits.
  • Experience working within financial statements.
  • Ability to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in variance analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience in reconciliations.
  • Experience with budgeting.

Work Environment
The role is mostly fully remote, with required travel onsite 2-3 times a year. During the summer, employees work four 9-hour days from Monday to Thursday and have Fridays off. There is an opportunity for growth into a budgeting role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
