Job Location : Columbus, OH - Onsite locals only
Duration : 6+ Months Contract

We are looking for a senior software engineer to design and implement new systems and features and modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. The senior software engineer engages directly with IT management and development teams to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using a variety of technologies, with a primary focus on SQL Server and Microsoft technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and propose technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for efficient data access and manipulation.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for improved efficiency.
• Proactively analyzes and evaluates systems to improve performance and usability.
• Collaborate with the QA team to conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to deliver high-quality software.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and industry trends and hold other junior members accountable.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to their professional growth.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in a key technology area.
• Participates in guiding the architecture with other Sr. Application Engineers
• Breaks down project work and delegates to other developers.
• Evaluates complexity and levels of effort to determine project timelines.
• Leads by example by completing programming tasks on time and within prescribed standards.
• Works within a variety of technical environments (web, database, desktop, system integration) using modern technology.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of programming experience with C# or similar object-oriented language
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on web technologies and Microsoft Stack.
• Proficiency in Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, and .NET framework.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js).
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Having prior experience in the implementation of microservices would be a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment.
• Knowledge of version control systems.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
