Client: Montgomery County Government
Location: Rockville, MD (The hybrid is two (2) days in the office and three (3) days remote. The remote work location must be in the DMV)

Note: This is a 35-hour-a-week assignment with the possibility of hours increasing as budget permits in the future. This is a yearly engagement with an option to renew every year.
Scope of Work:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer with strong cloud experience to design, build, modernize and support modern applications in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate is proficient in .NET Core/.NET 8, C#, and cloud-native architectures, with hands-on experience integrating Azure services such as App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Azure OpenAI and AI Foundry, and GitHub Copilot for Developers. The contractor will work with County staff to modernize legacy .NET applications and implement AI-powered solutions.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Expert in C#, ASP.NET Core, and cloud-native development.
  • Strong experience with Azure services, microservices, API security and Microsoft Entra ID/B2C authentication.
  • Experience modernizing .NET Framework/Web Forms applications to .NET 8 or cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Proficient with GitHub or Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, Cosmos DB, and modern UI frameworks (Blazor/React/Angular).

  • Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
