JOB DESCRIPTIONย 

A social service non-profit organization in Los Angeles is looking for a Development Assistant to provide administrative support to the Development Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Write thank you letters for individual donations

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Work on quarterly newsletters

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct mail merges for year-end donation receipt letters and request letters

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Create flyers, signage, and printed material layouts

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Update website news and social media postings

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist Development Director in responding to internal project requests and general internal correspondence

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain donor management database and run reports

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist in preparing for Board meetings and compile minutes

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Disseminate meeting agendas, announcements and meeting minutes

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelorโ€™s Degree

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Valid CA Driver's License and Auto Insurance

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Minimum two (2) years administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit development or community relations department

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with all basic administrative tasks such as data entry, database management and online marketing software, Donor Perfect software preferred.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Basic understanding of photo, video, and graphic file requirements as well as Adobe Design Suite and WordPress Web software are helpful but not mandatory

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Must demonstrate good administrative and communication skills

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Must possess solid proofreading abilities and a good command of the English language

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Must be organized, detail oriented, and comfortable managing multiple and varied administrative tasks related to marketing, communications and developmental activities

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proficiency with Microsoft Word and mail merge features.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
