Position Purpose
The PRO Channel works primarily with dog and cat breeders, shelters/rescues, dog trainers, and other professionals within the canine and feline communities. The key priority for the PRO team is attracting professionals to Farmina through brand awareness activities, providing education and on-site follow ups. Through these activities, the PRO team will drive engagement within the community, and will elicit recommendations from breeders, shelters, trainers and more.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of outside sales experience OR equivalent relevant experience in the animal health industry
  • Comfort in managing large territory. Overnights/weekend travel required
  • Reliable personal vehicle able to be utilized for territory management
  • Ability to work independently, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Breeding/Shelter work experience preferred
  • Live within 30 miles of major airport
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Key Responsibilities
  • Visiting dog and cat breeders/shelters/rescues/trainers in person within assigned territory
  • Educate/train prospective customers on brand benefits - close with a sale of product
  • Drive compliance of newly created recommendation portal/PRO App
  • Achieve all KPIs as assigned for territory growth
  • Attend/plan/organize events (dog/cat shows, etc) across U.S. (even outside assigned territory as needed) as defined - min. 12 events per calendar year
  • Act as brand ambassador at all times
  • Learn, understand and promote Farmina full catalog
