Job description

Position: Project Manager

Duration: 1 year

Location: Saint Paul, MN (Hybrid Mode)

The work is expected to be done with a hybrid of onsite and remote work. Service Delivery roles will typically work a hybrid schedule, with some onsite presence as requested. The frequency for onsite requests will depend on the project. Work environment location and timeline needs will vary by project and position and will be communicated at the time of Work Request execution.

Job Description:

This role will provide leadership and management direction to staff assigned to projects, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing out projects. Establish operating procedures and processes within the general project and serve as the organization's professional management resource within the project content area. Coordinate the work of internal and external participants, stakeholders, and consultants or vendors to ensure successful completion of projects. This position is responsible for managing the development of more than one mid-size project that requires collaboration and coordination with various work units.

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close out mid size IS projects.
  • Establish operating procedures within project scope; serve as the organization’s management resource.
  • Lead project team coordinating internal/external participants, stakeholders, and vendors for successful delivery.

  • Ensure quality of deliverables and alignment with objectives; handle escalations.

  • Associate degree with seven years of project management experience OR Bachelor's degree with five years of project management experience. OR Master's degree with three years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of Windows platform and current Internet technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource management.
  • Skilled in project management software.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining project documentation, including writing project charters, implementation plans, resource plans, status reports and all other required project documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams providing direction, delegation and removing obstacles to get work done.
  • Ability to build consensus and motivate people to act and participate.
  • PMP is recommended.
