Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to support the creation, publishing, and management of high-volume social content across multiple digital platforms. This role will partner closely with creative, editorial, production, and operational teams to help bring content from concept through delivery while maintaining quality, organization, and efficiency throughout the production lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about social media content. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and are comfortable collaborating with global stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support all phases of content production, including pre-production, production, and post-production activities.
  • Manage and track production timelines, deliverables, and daily deadlines across numerous content projects.
  • Support producers with service agreements, purchase orders, licensing requirements, contracts, and release documentation.
  • Assist with budget tracking, project estimates, and expense management.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and support content planning processes.
  • Review and update production schedules, identifying potential risks and recommending adjustments when needed.
  • Maintain team documentation, production resources, and workflow guidelines.
  • Coordinate workstreams with freelance talent, vendors, and external production partners.
  • Manage transcription and translation services for content projects.
  • Support shipping, logistics, and equipment management activities.
  • Track equipment inventory, rentals, and usage.
  • Organize media assets, archives, and content management systems.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of final content prior to publishing.
  • Publish content across multiple social media platforms.
  • Support media operations and community management workflows as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of production coordination or production management experience.
  • Experience supporting editorial video production for social media channels.
  • Experience managing content production across multiple formats, including short-form video, documentary-style content, narrative content, and social-first creative.
  • Familiarity with licensing processes, contracts, legal reviews, and production agreements.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Experience coordinating external creative agencies, freelancers, or production vendors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Experience maintaining editorial standards and quality control processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality content with limited resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with creative teams, video editors, motion graphics artists, and animators.
  • Familiarity with social media publishing platforms, content management systems, and project management tools.
  • Understanding of social media platform best practices, content workflows, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams and international content initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
