Job description

Department The Florida Channel Responsibilities Responsible for providing support to TFC's Business Manager related to accounting and budgetary activities such as accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliations, and records retention.
  • Responsible for working with University financial and accounting records applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Monitors and reconciles revenue, disbursements, expenditures and other financial related activity ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Monitors and balances accounts and researches and resolves discrepancies
  • Assists with grant application, and/or fund allocation and disbursement
  • Assists with the preparation of financial statements
  • Recommends changes to processes, policies and procedures
  • May audit and process accounts payable and/or receivable and related paperwork in compliance with state and University policies and procedures
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years. Preferred Qualifications Prefer incumbent with University experience. Other Information The Florida Channel - located in Tallahassee, FL - produces 24/7, year-round coverage of all three branches of state government. Programming includes gavel-to-gavel coverage of a wide variety of state proceedings, along with documentary and public affairs programming covering issues of interest and importance to all Floridians. The programming is distributed to the public via satellite to stations/affiliates and is also available through a variety of video streaming services as well as The Florida Channel.
