We're looking for a skilled Translator to join our Linguistic Services team at our Montreal Refinery, where you'll play a key role in ensuring clear, high-quality communication across the organization. If you're passionate about language, quality, and collaboration, this is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a dynamic environment. This is an in office 5 days a week, one year contract position covering for a maternity leave.
Minimum requirements:

  • Two years of relevant translation experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Translation or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Member of OTTIAQ is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Translate a variety of documents (finances, retail, marketing, human resources, etc.) from English to French using Trados

  • Revise and proofread French texts

  • Communicate with the requester, if required, to get some precisions on the mandate or the deadlines

  • Manage and assign translation/revision requests using the translation management system

Location and other details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work at our Montreal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

  • Our professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
