The primary focus is to perform all functions necessary for the safe, secure and accurate receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory and non-inventory materials. Interpret various order inputs and computer instructions to accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders.

Essential Duties:

Each job function is not a requirement of each employee, but all job functions are a requirement of a position and/or department.

  • Understand and utilize warehouse management system (WMS) computer commands and execute directed activities such as inventory, receiving auditing, put-away/pick, and order fulfilment
  • Roles include but not limited to Picking, Packing, Order Consolidation, and Decant
  • Perform accurate inventory transactions/movements by executing scanning of bar codes or similar fields to match systematic moves to physical relocations
  • Relocate material physical from/to various locations using material handling equipment (non-forklift), can require lifting and stacking
  • Initiate and comprehend computer instructions and handle exceptions (including handheld devices)
  • Sign inbound freight bills noting damages and/or discrepancies
  • Validate partial orders picked and consolidate into a master order when necessary
  • Operate WMS directed pack station to print system generated shipment documents and labels
  • Assume responsibility for inventory accuracy, in multiple functions such as pick, pack, and inbound receipt, among others
  • Assist with physical inventory activities
  • Perform cycle count activities
  • Operate mechanical packaging machines
  • Follow instruction to assemble parts according to Bill of Material (BOM) functionality
  • Maintain various logs of package parts operations
  • Perform special tasks and assignments as required by management and supervisory personnel
  • Use of computer equipment whether scanning or general input of commands

  • Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed is required
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is required
  • A demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development is required.
  • Able to take instructions from computer generated tasks
  • Familiar with warehouse scanning equipment or general knowledge of computer equipment competency for information input
  • Ability to work in team environment to participate in departmental metrics and instruction.
  • Ability to take instructions and follow directions to assist in order processing activities
  • Safety awareness for self and those around them
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 - 55 lbs.
