Job description

Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utah's growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus, which is convenient for patients in Ogden, Roy, and other neighborhoods west of I-15, currently offers emergency care, radiology, mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Air Force Base, you can enjoy quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, hiking, biking, and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for.


As our MRI Tech, you will provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs, and adhering to ACR practice guidelines and safety standards.
Every day you will operate MRI equipment, position patients, ensure image quality, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and serve as a role model for other associate technologists, continually assuring current standards of practice for the unit.
To be successful in this role, you will possess expertise in MRI imaging, strong technical skills, a deep understanding of ACR guidelines and safety standards, and the ability to effectively communicate, lead, and provide compassionate patient care.

  • Performs magnetic resonance scans to obtain high quality images while adhering to all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety.
  • Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
  • Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
  • Maintains technical operation of equipment and notifies service when necessary.
  • Performs IV starts and contrast administration as required.

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist; Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (R) and (MR)(ARRT)
  • BLS American Heart Assiciation

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One (1) year imaging experience, is strongly preferred
