Job Title: Production Associate II

Role Summary:
The production associate may have responsibilities including manufacturing, assembly, cleaning, packaging, and shipping of products. This is a team line environment where one operator passes their work to the next operator in queue.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Performs mid-level manufacturing/assembly operations on production line and other various tasks following procedures, work instructions, and process aid sheets
  • Follows work procedures including non-routine duties
  • Uses lift platforms, hoist, torque tools, and other power hand tools to assemble machines
  • Reads and follows work procedures or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Works well with little need for direction
  • Can perform mid-level rework and troubleshooting
  • Train the trainer certified
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintains daily production output
  • Cross trains and work in multiple functions for business flexibility
  • Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures
  • May participate in quality control inspections
  • Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams
  • Complies with EHS regulations and policies
  • Complies with attendance policies and be willing to work voluntary overtime when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent with 1 year of manufacturing experience, or 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties
    to be performed
  • Demonstrated ability to detail and quality-minded work habits
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership
  • You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background
  • You must be willing to take a drug test.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • You must be willing to work out of an office located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Desired Characteristics:

  • High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent
  • Experience in medical manufacturing or other highly regulated industry preferred.
  • Local candidates will be given preference
  • Ability to competently read, write, and speak in English
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to navigate online instructions
  • Must be able to lift (floor to waist, waist to crown level, and horizontally)
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform frequent simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation, neck rotation, and neck flexion throughout the workday
  • Must be able to twist, push/pull, reach at, above and below shoulder height frequently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to frequently stoop and bend; occasionally squat and kneel, throughout the workday
  • Must be able to stand/sit continuously throughout the day
  • Mustbe able to ascend/descend/balance occasionally on portable step stool

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to it's specification.
  • Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position
