Position Summary:
The Document Control team is responsible for all ERP data input, output, and maintenance. Working within the Document Control Department, this person will analyze and review engineering and documentation additions and changes for accuracy, completeness and compliance to company and customer's requirements - and manage ERP data accordingly. Duties will include tracking and moving ECN's forward towards completion, data analysis/entry, and intake of requests from the operations side of the business. In addition, this position will require managing priority levels of workload and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Generate bill of materials and routings, assigning documentation and/or part/program numbers as applicable, troubleshoot employee needs and implement solutions, and issuance of standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that proper procedures are being followed when making changes, additions and deletions.
  • Maintain the change control process. This includes the preparation of change requests, insuring the appropriate functional reviews and sign-off, and maintaining the records of the changes. Post changes to computerized or manual records, release documents, and notify affected departments.
  • Consult with engineers, managers, and sales to prepare documents and change requests. Work with document originators to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain established data distribution system and expedite review, signature approval, and release of documentation in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain active, obsolete, and computerized files which support the documentation system.
  • Participate in the training of new staff within the organization on how to use our systems, primarily ERP and SOP's.
  • Participate in the development of new processes and in and process and system improvement projects.
  • Troubleshoot attribute anomalies and conduct data cleaning within ERP and other sides of operations.
  • Track, manage, and advance processes including but not limited to ECN process, NPI process, etc

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently as well as work well with a team.
    Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
    Ability to write or help write procedures and work instructions.
  • Must contribute as a deadline-driven team player, with the ability to work effectively with various levels of management and employees.

Position Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in business.
  • Experience in engineering and documentation control systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle and the ability to learn several custom applications.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter / manage data on computer
