Job description

Gregorys Coffee is a family run company that puts people first. Joining our team means joining a community of baristas whose aim is to provide an amazing guest experience for anyone who walks through our doors. Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for learning and maintaining company standards and protocols.
  • Responsible for learning, understanding, and being able to speak knowledgeably about the company and the coffee program.
  • Responsible for knowing and being able to speak about all coffees served in the shop including but not limited to the coffee's components, history, and how to brew those coffees.
  • Operates coffee brewing equipment, grinders, scales, timers, water towers, point of sale systems, and mobile payment system.
  • Restocks all areas of store including coffee bar, & back rooms
  • Performs opening, closing, and mid-day tasks.
  • Responsible for learning and perfecting latte art.
  • Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the store through things such as but not limited to sweeping , mopping, cleaning drains, taking out trash, surface cleaning, and dishes.
  • Provides guests with a memorable experience.
  • Responsible for taking guest orders and ensuring a complete and accurate order.
  • Resolves guest complaints with tact and professionalism or alerts attending leader on staff to assist.
  • Responsible for receiving and signing for orders from suppliers.
  • Receives deliveries and checks for quality of items delivered as well as accuracy of delivery based on invoice.
  • Responsible for taking and recording temperatures as required.
  • Responsible for working in a high volume environment where efficiency, service, and quality must be maintained - crafts each drink with care.

  • Keeps store clean, stocked, and organized including but not limited to pastry case, condiment station, merchandiser, grab and go refrigerator, bathroom, and walk-in refrigerator.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Square point of sale system and Timestation software.
