Overview
Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process.
Responsibilities
Assessments of patients are accurate, consistently performed and a completed efficiently. Accurate documentation of continuum of care. Consistently demonstrates safe and accurate technical skills. Demonstrates competency in the performance of all procedures routinely performed in the office. Routinely demonstrates proper technique in operating all office/medical equipment. Triaging of patients is accurate and complies with instructions rendered by provider. Demonstrates competency in providing quality patient care. Accurately follows provider directions. Handles all specimens using proper technique. Correctly labels and processes specimens. Insures proper preparation of specimens for lab courier transfer to Lab. Conscious of biohazard safety as it relates to the job; manual delivery of specimens to lab, changing of gloves between patients. Handles specimens using proper techniques, correctly labels for transfer to lab. Routinely performs all nursing duties using appropriate PPE and in accordance with OSHA standards. Performs all job duties within the scope of practice and the organization's policies/procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year L.P.N./R.N. experience, preferably in a Doctors Office.
Credentials
Essential:
* LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse
* BLS - Basic Life Saving certification (American Heart Association)
Nonessential:
* RN - Registered Nurse
