Overview
Provides direct and indirect patient care to assist in the rehabilitation and restoration of normal body function after illness and/or injury. Implements treatment programs according to the plan of care, administers modalities, trains patients in T.E.., transfers, and gait and supervises PT Assistants and PT Aides.
Responsibilities
Excels in professional growth and development. Willingness to work in multiple venues and adjust work schedule to meet department mission. Provides community education in conjunction with hospital education programs. Ability to correctly identify problems and develop a treatment plan at conclusion of the initial evaluation. Emphasizes and achieves continuity of care through effective documentation and verbal communication. Adequate computer skills to achieve accurate billing and documentation. Professional demeanor and appearance. Ability to effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment. Ability to respond to Specific Task Requests. Demonstrates Clinical Competence
Qualifications
Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public. Able to work under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience. Demonstration of creativity, initiative and problem solving.
