Position Summary:
Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. Safely and accurately load finished product onto trailers for shipping.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload inbound shipments
  • Move merchandize to storage locations
  • Building, picking, and packing pallets
  • Perform quality checks on inbound goods
  • Carryout simple maintenance on the forklift, like recharging its battery and refueling
  • Identify and report mechanical and electrical faults to the supervisor or to the right technicians
  • Pack goods in the area/warehouse by hand when situation demands
  • Identify and report damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors
  • Move product from the area/warehouse to other units within the company either by using the forklift or by hand
  • Stacking empty pallets and relocation of pallets
  • Pack and move other items other than goods as instructed by supervisors, such as packing hazardous wastes
  • Weigh goods and record the weight in a log sheet.
  • Follow all company safety guidelines

  • Able to work extended work hours and weekends, as needed

Hiring Requirements/Preferences
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Pass background check, drug screen, physical, & Caetus Aptitude testing
    At least 3 years of forklift experience required.
  • Professional Attitude & conduct
  • Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.
  • High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
  • Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.
  • Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Take Caedus placement test for skill assessment.
  • The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by PRATT Safety and OSHA.
  • Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
