Job description

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Full Stack Typescript Developer (Node/React).

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be an integral part of a fast-paced research and development team, working on the development, debugging, and support of automated system software used in agricultural research. You will create and enhance backend and frontend systems that interact with automated machinery, ensuring the functionality and performance of critical research tools. Your work will involve designing databases, writing SQL queries, and developing JSON APIs. Collaborating with product teams, you will contribute feedback throughout the design and specification phases and help translate complex research requirements into technical solutions. This is a full-time position based on-site in Urbandale, IA, with seasonal support on the second shift from 11 am to 8 pm (February through May).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop front-end interfaces and backend systems with Typescript, Node, and React.
  • Design and implement relational databases, writing efficient SQL queries to support data needs.
  • Build and maintain JSON APIs to facilitate data exchange between systems.
  • Debug and troubleshoot code to resolve issues and improve system reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback during product design and development.
  • Analyze test results and optimize code for performance and scalability.
  • Support automated systems used in agricultural research environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a programming, database, or server administration role.
  • At least 2 years of proficient programming in JavaScript and Typescript.
  • Strong experience in SQL query development and relational database design.
  • Proven ability to develop JSON APIs and work with API integrations.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Git source control.
  • Ability to support 2nd shift work seasonally (February to May).
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with GitHub Actions for automation.
  • Knowledge of Docker containerization.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) tools.
