Job Overview

Senior Software Engineer – DevSecOps – Cert DevOps Pipeline Solution, Onsite, Cedar Rapids, IA. You will lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of the Collins Cert DevOps pipeline solution, working closely with engineering peers, leadership, and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of new capabilities for the Cert DevOps pipeline.
  • Optimize existing pipeline capabilities and maintain high quality.
  • Set up and own sandbox environments for technology incubation and development.
  • Track project progress, manage documentation, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering peers, leadership, and customers.
  • Apply problem‑solving, decision‑making, and teamwork skills to support the team mission.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced degree with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Practical experience across all phases of the software engineering product lifecycle, including certification.
  • Strong background in DevSecOps and automation.
  • Experience with C/C++, Ada and scripting languages such as Python, Robot, Lava.
  • Hands‑on experience with GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, and Vista.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, IT infrastructure, and Agile development practices.
