MANTECH seek a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer I to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter's effectiveness. If you enjoy working on a highly collaborative and dynamic team and want to make a difference for the warfighter, then we would love to have you on our team!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and test software features that optimize resource use and performance
  • Write clean, efficient code contributing to real-world solutions
  • Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and iterative delivery
  • Support the integration of DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and streamlined software deployment
  • Experiment with container technologies like Docker to enhance development and deployment workflows

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 0-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (C, C++, Go, or similar)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and team collaboration
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hunger to learn in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker or similar tools
  • Exposure to DevSecOps principles, such as secure coding or CI/CD pipelines
  • Contributions to personal coding projects, open-source initiatives, or hackathons
  • Excellent communication skills to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic team

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current and active Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard
