Job description

Dock Coordinator
We are looking for a warm and engaging team member that will become an integral part of our Flavor Factory. The Dock Coordinator is a part of a dedicated team that manages our vendor receiving and customer order shipments during our 1st Shift. With a true dock to dock focus, you create balance across the daily traffic flow in our fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse facility. You are Torani's Inbound and Outbound ambassador, and your reach extends beyond greeting truck drivers, vendors, and partners.
With an equal focus on driver satisfaction and dock door activities, the Dock Coordinator organizes dock door availability and status, welcomes and checks in drivers, and notes order status in our Warehouse Management System and our inbound/outbound appointment tracking system, OpenDock. You facilitate ongoing communication among the shipping, receiving, and picking teams to support a successful Torani service day with deliveries and transfers. You understand and have the skillset for forklift operation, trailer loading, order audits, staging, and adhering to safety and quality standards, but it doesn't stop there.
Verification processes and team member support are your mantras and your dedication to doing it right the first time is legendary. You are a go-getter who gives it your all and is always willing to lend a hand and support others in times of need. When challenges arise, you come up with sustainable solutions and help bring them to life! You seamlessly adapt to the changing needs of the business and help Torani scale processes in Shipping & Receiving to support our tremendous growth! A true professional who wishes to learn and grow with our company, you will be a part of a fun and engaging Team that helps infuse flavor all over the world!
Why You'll Love Working Here: At Torani, we flavor more than just drinks - we flavor lives. We're a Certified B Corporation committed to shared success, and that means everyone here plays a meaningful role. You'll be empowered to grow, try new things, and help others thrive.
Success Factors (First 12-24 Months)
  • Dock Coordinator Ownership: Thoroughly understands our inbound & outbound capacity and uses this knowledge to successfully prioritize and plan the receiving, shipping, and staging activities in Sauce and Syrup materials. All dock activity is managed in a timely manner and driver turn time and shipping accuracy KPI targets are met. You have become an important part of our warehouse and manufacturing success, helping to make certain that packaging and ingredient materials arriving at the Flavor Factory and Luccaland are assigned to the designated drop-off locations in Sauce and Syrup.
  • Equipment mastery: A stellar systems operator, you move effortlessly from managing data in Manhattan WMS to track truck turn time, assigning dock doors for each driver, and correctly documenting all driver/inbound related information. In addition, you are known to jump in and assist with forklift operation and are comfortable loading, unloading, receiving goods, replenishing the manufacturing lines, and providing inventory counts. You will also assist with receiving Bulk Ingredients such as Granulated Sugar, Invert Sugar, and Corn Syrup to support Sauce and Syrup production.
  • Safety First: Maintain a safe and enjoyable work environment and have had zero safety incidents. You look at work through the lens of safety and security whether it is caring about fellow team members' safety or that of our external customers and partners as well! If you see something, you have the confidence to say and do something to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication: You demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently among both internal and external customers. You ensure that others are made aware of pertinent, time-sensitive information by using various communication methods effectively. You intuitively know what and when communication should occur, escalating issues to the right team members, and following up until resolved. You actively participate in quality audits and speak confidently to the operational processes that demonstrate quality controls.
  • Attention to Detail: You ensure that the right shipping or receiving information is provided for every truck and all paperwork is in order and complete. You are known for a clean, organized work area. Your attention to detail will be important in supporting the organization of all small packages delivered to Torani and their distribution to our Torani Team Members.
  • Reliability and Commitment: You are respected because you deliver your commitments on time-the Team counts on you and your stellar attendance. You demonstrate a desire to exceed expectations. You care deeply for others and love to roll up your sleeves and pitch in when you have a spare moment. You take initiative to improve processes in the Transportation Office and in Warehouse Operations on the floor.
  • Have Fun! Whether it's your attitude, humor, or energy - you bring a little extra brightness to every day.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2 years of forklift driver experience, with current certification (Required)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, utilizing scanner technology and data entry into desktop required
